How many miles can I expect to get out of an Audi A6 2.8, if I keep it maintained?

One of the Audis that I currently own is a 2001 A6 2.8...I only have about 60,000 miles on it. I received this car when I traded in my 1998 A6 2.8 a few years ago...it had about 100,000 miles on it, but it drove like it was still new. That's the great thing about Audi and the 2.8L engine: it might lack power, but it certainly is reliable. I feel as if it could go to around 300,000 and still be pretty reliable. There is one on eBay going for $3,000 (reserve not met yet) and it has 220,000 miles on it, yet it looks great! In theory, if you only take it to a Audi-certified mechanic shop, you could go upwards to 1,000,000 or so miles...if you wanted to keep the car for that long, that is.How many miles can I expect to get out of an Audi A6 2.8, if I keep it maintained?I drive a 94 Audi 100 CS quattro 2.8 V6 with more than 170.000 miles and don't have any problem, these cars can go up to 320.000 miles if well maintended... i know a friend who has the same ride and had about 300.000 mile on it... realistically i would say about 300K miles after that point when stuff goes wrong you will start to question whether its worth putting the money into. At that point you would probably b looking at valve jobs and and engine rebuilds ant you would have to decide if you want to invest that much in the car. I personally plan on keeping mine till about 250K and then selling it (before the 4th timing belt and water pump service is due) at 195K miles i think the car will be worth the investment but at 260 i will probably not want to spend the money to have the service done.How many miles can I expect to get out of an Audi A6 2.8, if I keep it maintained?my parents got over 100k out of theirs, but it kept having small things go wrong with it (windows, ingition switch, a/c)How many miles can I expect to get out of an Audi A6 2.8, if I keep it maintained?

I own a 1999 Audi A6 Quattro and bought it with 128,000. when I test drove the car it felt like I was driving a brand new car, it was sheer luxury and performance.



Buy one!
If you keep up with scheduled maint. and fix anything that may cause future problems, ANY vehicle should last 200, 300, or more thousand miles.
