No, I don't know too many poor people that afford can an Audi.Is an Audi a poor mans Mercedes?All the car makers ALEX listed are owned by VolksWagen Motor Group, so VW is in charge of audi and Audi and VW own all those other exotic car makers. Audi is currently on top of the Premium Luxury class, along with the mercedes E-class and BMW 5 series. BMW and Audi are enemies shown by the 3 year old ad war going on still to this day. Audi makes the R8, an exotic supercar that is shown better in most categories then Lamborghini and Ferrari. Audi racing teams won the Le Mans 24 hour race i think 4 years or more in a row. Companies like BMW attempt to claim on Audi's poor quality and lack of service, while yes the Audi A4 is less as reliable as the A5 A6 or A8 but as the model number gets higher so does the quality and price. In terms of Mercedes, Audi has them beat in all car models. BMW claims to have a nicer car then any of Audi's lineup. But as the story goes If you want power drive a BMW, if you want Luxury, drive a Mercedes, if you want both; Drive Audi...Is an Audi a poor mans Mercedes?
Mercedes went through a bad patch in the late nineties/ early 00s, when it seemed the accountants had taken control and their cars were being built to a price, rather than a standard of excellence. The engineers have now regained the upper hand and things are improving.



Audi make a fine car, and always have - I remember travelling in Auto-Unions in the early 60s! However they appear to be becoming the car of choice for the arrogant idiots who did so much damage to the BMW name. This puts me off getting another...Is an Audi a poor mans Mercedes?Goodness me how can you think such a thing, how about judging a car by its merits and not its name. What possibly could a Mercedes give you that an Audi could not. I drive a Nissan X trial, its the car I want, I am happy with it, I could afford otherwise but why I am not a snob. The object of a car is to get you from A to B, at a degree of comfort that you expect and in a way the car was capable for. Please be proud and lucky at what you have.
Most definitely not. Especially if you live in an area that receives snow, Audi's all wheel drive system (Quattro) is the best. Volkswagen is now the world's biggest and most powerful car company owns Audi, Lamborghini, Porsche, Bugatti, Seat, and Skoda. Audi makes quality vehicles and are fun to drive.Is an Audi a poor mans Mercedes?Not in my opinion or experience, met owners of good and bad Mercs and Audis, both can make amazing cars but both are fallible. Try going to a different dealership and kick up a fuss as may be the dealer not the parent company. Ultimately car ownership at this level is subjective, personally I love my 21 year old Honda Legend but it's not for everyone !Is an Audi a poor mans Mercedes?
I think of Audi as a sportier luxury car than MB, I have heard of VWs having electrical problems in the past, not sure if this is part of the problem systems requiring warranty work. It sounds like you need to try a different dealership if you haven't already.
Mercedes are over-rated. Audi, Mercedes %26amp; BMW are all about the same standard now, it's just about what suits you.

Not at all. The Audi can go head to head with most Mercedes.

Mercedes just has a name as a rich man's car but Audi is right up there with Price, stability and comfort.

I love the look of the older Benz; the newer ones look cheap; don't you think?
Id say stick to mercedes



I did my A level business project comparing the two, from production to after sales mercedes carries better morals and commitment to the brand!

BMW would be blossom.

Mercedes would be bubbles.

Audi would be buttercup.
audi is in the same group of companys as lamborghini, bentley, bugatti, volkswagon

Mercedes are for show no for driving audis are faster more stylish and more popular and cheaper!
That's what Mercedes would like the public to think but the truth is, in the last 5 years or so Audi's product has consistently surpassed Mercedes Benz.

Not at all, for they now produce cars that are as good or even better than Mercedes. They are much more reliable.

Definitely not. In fact there are some Audi models that cost more than M-Benz, i.e., an A8 vs an E class M-B.
no audi owns poche lambo and some other huge ones so not at at all
