What makes Audi not a reliable automaker? (According to popular belief)?

I was thinking on buying an Audi A4, but I hear from many people that I'll be sorry in the long run. What makes Audi not a reliable automaker? (According to popular belief)?the real deal on v.w. audi is they start with an almost reasonable concept then load it down with poorly designed components [window regulators, battery compartments that hold water flooding and shorting out the electrical system, the engine management systems have been loaded with troubles for years with the update of the week approach to auto repair. [ the new components just as poorly designed as the ones they are replacing]

these "morons" package everything in such a way that even normal maintenance such as a timing belt replacement requires the removal of headlamps, bumper, etc. then sliding the core support/nose ahead just to have room to get to the components.

in reality, as lousy as an old renault alliance was [if you could start it you would get to where you needed to be] it[the renault] was a better car, any audi [a4 or whatever] will quit on you at any given moment [they are just now addressing ignition coil problems on 99 up models]What makes Audi not a reliable automaker? they're expensive as hell to maintain just to keep running properly, and repairs can be 2 or 3 times as much as those for a regular car, even for something as simple as an oil change. another factor is that VW/Audi have never been able to make proper automatic transmissions, they don't last very long past 150k(especially the semi-autos). basically, they're just a giant money pit and you can get something that will be a lot cheaper to maintain and more reliable. What makes Audi not a reliable automaker? (According to popular belief)?audi is well known as an expensive volkswagon and for having engine oiling and electrical problems, the oil pump quits, the engine blows up, as with any manufacturer, there are good ones and bad ones, I guess as with any used car it is about care and maintenance, and how many miles are on the car to begin with. What makes Audi not a reliable automaker? i've had audis for over 5 years now, and i can tell you that i never had any problems with audi cars. audi care center is available almost everywhere now and they can help you if something happens. one time a tow truck took my audi, and audi care center called in matter of minutes and told me that my audi has changed it position without being in presence of my car key. i do more than 100,000km yearly and i am really satisfied with audisWhat makes Audi not a reliable automaker? (According to popular belief)? It's an idiotic stigma that people attach to the brand name. I've heard the same thing about BMW's and every single car brand to date... You'd think that if they were really THAT unreliable that the brand would cease to exist or have massive recalls...What makes Audi not a reliable automaker? (According to popular belief)?
oh rubbish don't listen to them, as long as you do proper maintenance on your Audi you should be fine.
