It's a 2001 Quattro 2.8t...How much would it cost to replace the clutch on an Audi A4?You're not going to get any meaningful answer here. They will give you the estimate at the Audi dealership or at a place the works on foreign cars like Audi. You will not like the answer. On a 2001, you are facing monster costs for continually running down codes and replacing parts. Anything on your Audi will be at least twice or, in some cases, three times the cost compared to most other cars.
Sell it the first reasonable chance you get. If you have not done the timing chain and belt, a 2001 is past due. Check that price too. Sorry for all the negatives. I own an A6 and it was one of the worst choices of my life. How much would it cost to replace the clutch on an Audi A4?Not all audi's are lemons like this guys ^^
first off, i think you have a little misinformation on your post. The 2.8L engine doesn't have a turbo on it. That's the 1.8T in 2001, so you may have fat fingered your keys, i do that all the time.
Second, I don't know about estimates in your area but you should be able to get the clutch for under 500 bucks, then it just comes into labor. If you go aftermarket you can definitely get one for that, look into clutchmasters... don't go to the stealership to do this though. find a reputable audi mechanic in your area and talk to them. The dealership will charge a good 50-100% more than your independent mechaninc will. Good luck, and realilze that the clutch is a common point of failure for ALL manual transmission vehicles.
Hopefully that's all you've had to do lately as far as work goes. There are a couple places I would look at if I were you...

www.avalonmotorsports.com %26lt;---very good guys, ask for brian
www.shokan.com %26lt;---- all used audi parts that come w/6 mont warranty. I wouldn't necissarily get a clutch from them but they have all sorts of other parts at great prices.
