How do I open the hood of a 1990 Buick La Sabre when the cable is broken?

I can pull on the cable but the release I think is jamed and I cant find were it is located.How do I open the hood of a 1990 Buick La Sabre when the cable is broken?Start by performing the "Fonzie Thump" while someone holds out on the release.
