I opened the rear door and removed two screws that seemed to be holding in the housing but it still will not come out. It's almost as if there's some kind of clip or something still holding it in place. Any ideas would be great...don't feel like getting/paying a ticket over something that be so simple. By "rear door" I assume you have a wagon. There is a wing nut behind the cargo areas in the back. You need to remove the cargo cover and look behind the light. remove the wing nut and pull the light straight out. Watch out for the reverse light, the cable is pretty short.
