Can you add other blends of coolant to a 2003 buick?

We have only ever used Drex-cool (sp?) (Pinkish orange fluid) coolant. I had a dealership top off with a blended dark green liquid and my car over heated and the liquid is now all over my driveway.Can you add other blends of coolant to a 2003 buick?Dark green antifreeze is *not compatible with with Dexcool. Mixing these two types will form a brown muddy mess in the cooling system which reduces cooling efficiency.



If a GM or any other new car dealer mixed green antifreeze with Dexcool, they should cover all expensences of having your system drained, flushed and cleaned.Can you add other blends of coolant to a 2003 buick?
GM has had considerable trouble with Dex-Cool. Probably why there is a problem now. Your 2003 coolant should have been completely replaced at least twice by now.

Have a GM product with Dex-Cool, as do some friends. We have all experienced some problems and have all converted over to Prestone All Makes, All Colors, All Types, green coolant, in the yellow container.

get the complete cooling system flushed out and either go with your dex-cool only or go with the old green style antifreeze only, dex-cool has been known to eat away at the head and intake gaskets.Can you add other blends of coolant to a 2003 buick?check the coolant directions on the container. you cannot mix dex cool with the green stuff its a big no no.
