Did you install the starter correctly and make sure everything is tight? CLicking usally have something to do with the selonid in the starter or a bad battery. Is the bigger battery new? you could have possibly two bad batteries. Lastly you may have a bad alternator or selonid in the alternator.

try jump starting the car as well.1998 buick lesabre custom 3.8 wont start i took the starter to oreillys its bad got a new one still made same?Try cleaning the insides of your battery cable terminals. A dark gray color indicates oxidation that can severely inhibit current flow from the battery to the starter motor.

Get a battery brush at any auto parts store and use this to clean all surfaces that mate up to the battery posts. Clean the battery posts as well, tighten the terminals and start the vehicle.

Note: If you've been trying to start the vehicle for a while you may need to charge your battery prior to starting.
