Surprise! The battery is stuck under the front frame of the car. I can't find what is holding it in there, other than the bolts you jump start it with. Otherwise, we can't figure out how to remove it. Are these what are holding the battery in? Any suggestions on how to get it out of there (without having to have it towed to a mechanic) would be greatly appreciated. How do you replace the battery in a 2001 Buick Century?Stand in front of the car in front of the battery. Reach across the battery and then down the long side of the battery that faces the passenger compartment.
Right in the middle, down at the bottom of the battery, you will find a bolt head. Loosen or take that off and your battery should then pull straight up.
Make sure you put that back on the new battery because that's the only thing holding the battery in place. How do you replace the battery in a 2001 Buick Century?Make sure you put that back on the new battery because that's the only thing holding the battery in place...
