How do you program a keyless remote for a 97 buick lesabre?

I have a new keyless remote to replace my old damaged one, and the dealer wants $45 to program it for me.How do you program a keyless remote for a 97 buick lesabre?It takes only a few minutes to do, and here's how to do it.



ALL TRANSMITTERS MUST BE PRESENT WHEN PROGRAMMING NEW REMOTES!



1. Turn OFF ignition switch.



2. Use a 3 amp fused jumper wire (two clip leads attached to either side of a 3 amp fuse and paperclips work, too) and

connect terminals at the data link connector (black wire to

black/white wire). Pin number 4 and 8. The data link

connector is located on the driver's side bottom of dash

panel.

3. Close all the doors.

4. Turn ON the ignition switch.

5. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm it is in

programming mode.

6. Press and hold LOCK and UNLOCK on one of the

transmitters for 30 seconds.



7. After a 10-15 second delay the doors will LOCK and

UNLOCK.



DO NOT TURN OFF THE IGNITION!



8. Repeat step 5 for each additional transmitter. (Even

transmitters that worked previously must be

reprogrammed).

9. Disconnect jumper wire from data link connector.

10. Turn the ignition off and test all transmitters to verify
