I have a 97 buick lesabre w/ automatic temp control. The drivers side temp door actuator is bad. can anyone tell me if I need to remove the entire plenum, to replace this or is there a quicker way to access it. I cannot find any info in repair manuals that are specific enough. I am a mechanic but I dont have access to alldata or mitchell. Any help would be appreciated.Buick drivers temp control actuator replacement?Take a fishing pole, "Daiwa" brand preferablly, and stick it up the tailpipe. Then, get a super Mario control module to the 5th power, divided by 2 times the square root of your mom.
After you've done that, replace the tires and put the old ones in the trunk. Then take the steering column off and insert 2-3 pounds of lard.
Works everytime.Buick drivers temp control actuator replacement?i would say yes the dash has to come out i dont know about the plenum.also most of thoes actuators need to be programed with a good aftermarket scan tool or a gm tech 2.Buick drivers temp control actuator replacement?Sorry even the Mitchell Manual has very little to go on on these.. ditto for All Data...believe me,
I did a 94 Buick Lesabre Limited last year with the AC/Heater control... it has 5 different circuit board in it... customers girlfriend was drunk and pushed on controls to hard broke original...
GM wanted nearly $500 for that unit new... my best wrcking yard wholesaled me one (special ordered) for $100.00
I installed it... everything worked... 10 days later customer was back saying something not working insisting on warranty...
my wrecking yard and I did it again, special ordered another unit.... carefully tested and inspected first then I did the install again...
this time after install I had 3 different witnesses plus myself try all the buttons and settings to confirm everything worked...
10 days later he's back and wants done again... Told him no way... you're going to put someone out of business..
I hope someone can give you better new maybe a GM tech working for GM at present
