I have a 1998 buick lesabre engine will not crank or start?
My car was running perfectly fine then went to go and try and start it and it wouldn't. Then I finannly did and was making a chugging nosie and allot of white smoke was comming out of the back. Then when I got home I checked the hood and all the water was gone. And I went to try and start it and would not come on. Just nothing not even a attempt to start.I have a 1998 buick lesabre engine will not crank or start?Alright I see you posted on one of my questions. Your car didn't blow a head gasket. It is very rare to see a blown head gasket on a 3800. You evidently had coolant leak into the cylinders causing the engine to eventually seize after it was drowned with water. This is never easy once it has gotten this far. at this point, you have two options. 1: sell the car. 2: you can have a tech unseize your engine and fix the manifolds. Our cars are notorious for having bad intake manifolds and gaskets. Either your Lower intake manifold gasket broke, leaking coolant into the engine, or your upper intake manifold wapred... leaking coolant into the engine. I was lucking enough to fix this problem before it started on my car. It is about $300 to fix the manifolds yourself. I dont know how much to "unseize" an engine. and its about $500-800 to have a technician fix your manifolds. Good luck, great engine, great trans, amazing car... but everything has an achilles heel.I have a 1998 buick lesabre engine will not crank or start?sounds like a head gasket failure, it could also be a cracked head or block.
