Sometimes a carb will stick slightly open, causing a high idle. This could be what is happening, a quick solid tap on the gas pedal could get it unstuck, spray carb cleaner on the carb. Do it when the car is not running, it is flammable.

The carb has a set screw that sets the idle speed. You can find it if you open the hood and have someone give it gas and watch what moves, then look where it rests when idling.

Ask a friend to help you out, or take it to a garage, its a 94 and I don't think you want to put a lot of money into it. Get a repair manual and it will give you details on adjusting the idle speed.
