Every once in a while, my 1988 buick century will die on me?
Every once in a while my 1988 buick will die when I'm going slow (like through a school zone). Then I can get it to start back up very quickly. I do regular oil changes. Is there something routine I can do to make it run better?Every once in a while, my 1988 buick century will die on me?if you car other wise runs fine i would suggest a good tune up. new air filter, fuel filter, and spark plugs should do the trick. i would also suggest getting a bottle of Lucas fuel injection cleaner. its a small bottle you can get at walmart or autozone for just under $5 and all you do is pour it into the gas tank when you fill up. many times local gas stations carry cheap gas. fill up from a big name station, i suggest shell, and add the Lucas cleaner i mentioned above.Every once in a while, my 1988 buick century will die on me?I would put some gas treatment in it DRY gas is whut they call it. NEVER fill your car when a tanker is at a gas station filling it. You will get more water then gas. I would also check air filters see if they are Dirty and if that dont do it change the fuel filterEvery once in a while, my 1988 buick century will die on me?Regular oil changes are great, but it has nothing to do with your problem. There could be a million reasons for a car to stall. Just take it to a good mechanic and tell him your problem.
