It seems as though you can only open the trunk with the electronic remote. The key does not work, and I am unable to find a release latch anywhere.
My keys are locked in my trunk, I have a spare key, but as previously stated, it doesn't work. The electronic remote is on the pair of keys in the trunk!
Is there a release hatch?

right there try to remove the rear seat from the spot,it has two bolts atached to the botom try to remove it and then take of the upper part from the seat also and you will have some access to the trunk ,.hope it helps,.is what i did it once and retrieve the keys,.How do you unlock a 1998 Buick Century trunk without keys?go through the back seat, you should have an emergency release handle, if not find the back of the lock and use a flat tip screwdriver and insert in slot turn and open, if all of this fails call the locksmith.How do you unlock a 1998 Buick Century trunk without keys?

Look in your owners manual there must be some thing in there about it.
In the glove box there might be a yellow button%26gt; That says trunk%26gt;

Try a shot of WD-40. Put key tip in lock till the little cover is out of the way. Stick straw from can in slot and just a small shot will do it. Did this to 2 of my locks on 98 F150 and 98 Buick Lesabre. Both had frozen up from not being used.
