I have a question about the 1985 Buick Lesabre limited edition?

I have put on a new altenator, Battery, Belts, (and had someone else water pump). And I am still being stuck on the side of the road. What is the problem? I am getting a clicking noise when I am trying to start it could it be my starter has gone out again.I have a question about the 1985 Buick Lesabre limited edition?Start at the battery and clean the terminals and cable connections. Make them shiny. Do this at each connection point from the batter to the starter on the positive side and from the battery to both ground points on the negative side. After you have done this throughly, if you still have a problem, the culprit is most likely bad cables. They corrode over time expecially if you have ever had a leaky battery and do not transmit the needed energy any longer.I have a question about the 1985 Buick Lesabre limited edition?
You have forgotten to change the most important things. The battery cables. Everybody seems to believe they can look at a set of battery cables and KNOW they are O K. Well they are wrong. I can almost guarantee you that is the main problem with your car.

funsarlo@yahoo.comI have a question about the 1985 Buick Lesabre limited edition?Try changing your voltage regulator, if it is not built into the alternator. It would be a black box on the side of the engine compartment or on the firewall. LOLI have a question about the 1985 Buick Lesabre limited edition?
Tho you had part of the charging-starting system checked and done , there are other parts involved. Starter, seems the most obvious. But if it happens more than once either the starters you're buying are junk or its just a simple connectionI have a question about the 1985 Buick Lesabre limited edition?check battery cables and clean them first. also check the ground to the engine block. amazingly enough, most electrical problems are grounding issues. if this step does not work, move on to the starter, make sure the connection is tight, the clicking noise noise is the seinoid on the starter try to engage the starter. if it clicks it is either lack voltage to the starter, or a starter problem. the colder the weather the more problems you can expect in the electrical system. battery, starter, alternator.
