I have gotten as far as taking off the signal switch now what? I can see the switch but should I take the 3 bolts out. It seems if I do that it might remove the whole steering column. Help? How do you change an ignition switch on a 1976 Buick Regal?the three screw that hold the the turn signal assembly?Does it have steering lock?if so you need a special tool for steering lock ring or you will never get it back together. otherwise, under the turn signal white plastic is a torque bit style screw about the 230 position. you will also have to remove the hazard button on the right side of the column to get the turn sigal assembly off
it hold the lock cylinder in place
remove that and the lock should slide outHow do you change an ignition switch on a 1976 Buick Regal?take off wheel take the screw out of the ignition holdown and turn counter clockwise and pull out
