Where do I put the coolant for my Buick Century?

In the radiator or reservoir?

What's the difference?

I can't read how much is already in there? I do have a low coolant light on.Where do I put the coolant for my Buick Century?Usually you should put it in the radiator first then add to the reservior.I know from experiance that the coolant level sensor located in the radiator gets sludge on the electrode and set the light on even if the level is full. The diffrence between the 2 is that the resevoir holds coolant that is some times used for replenishing a lower level but is mainly for holding excess fluid when the vehicle reacher operating temprature or when coolant sytem pressure exceeds 15 psi and cap vents.I hope this helps a little. As a precuation never remove the radiator cap when the vehicle is hot due to the pressure in the system. As for the cover it doesn't make a diffrence. You coolant should never freeze if you have a proper mix of coolant to water. If it does freeze then there can be major ramifications like block or radiator damage. You can have it tested for protection level using a refractometer.pEACEWhere do I put the coolant for my Buick Century? You are welcome, glad i could help
